Ramsey Sr., Jeffery A.  
Master Chief Jeffery A. Ramsey Sr. (retired), 57, from Washington C.H., Ohio devoted father, grandfather and son passed away peacefully in Tempe, Arizona on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. Jeff was born March 19, 1958 in Wilmington, Ohio. He attended Little Miami Schools, Morrow, Ohio, and graduated from Lebanon High School in Lebanon, Ohio, Warren County in 1975. Following high school he joined the U.S. Navy. He retired in 2002 as Master Chief after 27 years of service. He was stationed much of the time in San Diego, California. Jeff was preceded in death by one daughter, Angela, in 1989. He is survived by his mother, Virginia A. (Paul) Edgington of Washington C.H., Ohio, his father Donald E. (Ruth) Ramsey of St. Mary's, Ohio, and his wife, Vickie Ramsey of Tempe, Arizona. Jeff leaves three daughters, Jennifer Ramsey (Pete) Palmantier of Spring Valley, California, Lori Ramsey (Christian) Pacheco of Chula Vista, California, Jillian Ramsey of Las Vegas, Nevada and one son Jeffery A. Ramsey Jr. of Tempe, Arizona. Grandchildren Anthony, Mikal, Benjamin and Nickolas Palmantier and Christian and Ethan Pacheco. Also surviving are brothers Donald E. (Pauline) Ramsey Jr. Huntsville, Alabama, Charles R. (Rose) Ramsey of Trenton, Ohio, William L. (Julie) Ramsey of Franklin, Ohio, sisters Marilyn Ramsey (Dale) Kenley of Georgetown, Kentucky and Sandra Ramsey (Brooks) Pistole of Laguna Niguel, California and many nieces and nephews. Jeff was laid to rest beside his daughter, in Glen Abbey Memorial Park, after a service May 18, 2015 at Glen Abbey Mortuary in Bonita, California. In lieu of flowers donation in memory of Jeff may be made to Disabled Veterans #89 at 133 S. Main St. Suite L. 111 Washington C.H., Ohio 43160 or the charity of your choice.

Lisa K. Rea, N.A.P.N.D., 56, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Monday, May 18, 2015. Her death was sudden and unexpected. Lisa was born December 4, 1958, in Oxford, Ohio to Fred and Marilyn Allen Raike. She was a 1977 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School in Greenfield; a 1984 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University a bachelor's degree in business administration and earned a doctor of naturopathy degree from Central States College of Health Sciences in 2007. She was a sales representative for the Bunge Limited International Food Company as well as Fleetwood Homes, Inc. before owning and operating, with her husband, Armadillo Homes, Inc. of Killeen, Texas from 1994 to 2000. Since 2010, she had been a Native American Practitioner, Naturopathic Doctor, with an office in Washington Court House. Lisa is survived by her parents, both of whom live in Greenfield; her husband, Mark Rea, of Washington Court House; a step-daughter, Dr. Jessica (David) Ross of Columbus; three brothers, David Raike of Wailea, Hawaii, Steven (Sandy) Raike of Clive, Iowa and Brian Raike of Greenfield; brothers-in-law, William (Lynn) Rea of Rainsboro, Ohio and Robert (Elizabeth) Rea of Washington Court House and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Swanigan, Dorothy Jean  
Dorothy Jean Swanigan, 68, of State Route 124, Piketon, Ohio passed 3:06 p.m. Monday, May 25, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. She was born July 10, 1946 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of the late Edward Angel and Emma Jean (Devore) Thompson. On May 8, 1976 Dorothy was united in marriage to James Swanigan, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Eugene (Susan) Hatfield of Piketon, Ohio, Robert (Penny) Hatfield of Washington C.H., Ohio, two daughters, Joyce (Steve) Wilson of Washington C.H., Ohio, Rosie (Timothy) McCoy of Hillsboro, Ohio, a grandson raised by her as a son, Billy (Amy) Hatfield of Piketon, Ohio, host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins, a brother, David Thompson, half sister, Kim Angel, sister-in-law, Nancy Thompson, son-in-law, Robert Wayne McCoy and two friends, Kay and Jenny. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl Hatfield, daughter, Janet Kay McCoy, two granddaughters, Wendy Jo Williams, Bobby Sue Morrison, two great-granddaughters, Carly Ann Wilburn, Brooklin Renee Burton, two great-grandsons, Thomas Leach, Bradley Hatfield, two brothers, Robert "Bob" Thompson, Ivan "Buddie" Thompson, sister, Joann Robinette, two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Thompson, Charlene Thompson and brother-in-law, Fred Robinette. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Howe Wheeler Boyer Hornback Funeral Home located in Piketon, Ohio with Pastor Jeff May, officiating. Thomas, Allen Eugene  
The funeral service for Allen Eugene Thomas, age 81, of The Villages, Florida, was held Friday, May 22, 2015, in the chapel of the Kinzer & Godorhazy Funeral Home. Associate Minister Earl Burns of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church officiated the service. Two selections of music, "I Bowed on My Knees" and "The Light House", were sang by the Sisters in Christ. Pallbearers for burial in Washington Cemetery were Jay Thivener, Gerald Thomas, Rod Tyree, Todd Thomas, Obie Roberts, Larry Johns and Travis Clark. Originally from Washington C.H., Mr. Thomas has spent the last several years of retirement residing in Florida.

Allen Eugene Thomas, age 81, formerly of Washington Court House, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Mr. Thomas was currently residing in The Villages, Florida. Born December 5, 1933 to the late Allen G. Thomas and Wanda (Johns) Thomas Webb, Mr. Thomas lived in Columbus, Ohio until he retired from Sears & Roebuck in 1994. Shortly after, he moved to Springfield, Ohio until moving to Florida in 2013. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Sanders. He is survived by brothers, Gerald (Vivian) Thomas of Washington C.H. and Mike (Ruthann) Thomas of Stoutsville, OH; sisters, Shirley Tyree of Washington C.H., Donna Upthegrove of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Judy Clark of Washington C.H.; special cousins Obie and Susie Roberts of Springfield, OH; life-long friends Jay and Sheryl Thivener of Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends Friday, May 22, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m., in the Kinzer & Godorhazy Funeral Home, Washington C.H. Pastor Earl Burns officiating. Interment to follow in Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Hospice of Marion County, 3231 S.W. 34th Ave., Ocala, FL 34474.
