Anna Belle Cooper, 82, of Washington Court House, passed away on January 19, 2014 in Washington Court House. She was born March 28, 1931 in Madison County to Roy and Neda Pyle Stires. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Cooper whom she married on March 28, 1965. Mrs. Cooper had worked for G.C. Murphy Co. for fifteen years. She was a member of the Wesleyan Holiness Church in Washington Court House.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Ann Cooper, one brother, Gerald Stires, four sisters, Sylvia Stires, Juanita Stires, Betty Minnich and Donna (George) Cooper
She is survived by a daughter Donna (Robert) Gilpen, a brother Roderick (Phyllis) Stires of Xenia, Ohio, two sisters Kathleen Arnold of Washington Court House and Ruth (Stoney) Patrick of Milledgeville, Ohio, three grandchildren, Daniel Gilpen, Amanda Gilpen, and Beth (Mark) Rittenhouse all of Washington Court House, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and special friend Donna Wilson.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday January 23, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Morrow Funeral Home in Washington Court House with James Kemp of Wesleyan Chapel officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Friends may call at the Morrow Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 until time of service.
