Charles E. Thomas Jr., 53, of Washington C.H., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at 7:09 a.m. at the Country Glenn Nursing and Rehab Center.
He was born on April 10, 1959 in Columbus, Ohio to Charles Sr. and Carolyn Fowler Thomas. He worked as an accountant. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy
. He was a 1977 Pickerington High School graduate and received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Franklin University. He enjoyed golfing, reading, music and working on computers. He was a member of the Madison Mills Methodist Church where he had served on various committees and enjoyed the Clown Ministry. Charley was also an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan.
Charley was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Mary Lou Hidy.
Survivors include his parents of Arizona, his wife Wendy Hidy Thomas, whom he married on Oct. 13, 1984; his children Carrie (Matthew) Keaton of Jeffersonville and Alex Thomas of Washington C.H.; grandchildren Tyler and Luke Keaton; siblings Robin (Roger) Smith and Mike (Kim) Thomas; niece Abbie (Chris) Brewer and nephews Jack Thomas and Michael Bailey as well as his father-in-law Gary (Norma) Hidy and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Madison Mills Methodist Church at 9100 Madison Rd in Washington C.H. with Pastor Bob Sholis and Pastor John Ball officiating. It was Charley's wish to be cremated.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at Huntington Bank for the family.
