Clarence E. Brown, Jr., 90, of Circleville, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Country Glenn Nursing Center in Washington C.H. He was born March 17, 1922 in New Holland, the son of Clarence E. and Emma (Kimmey) Brown, Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen Lucille (Walters) Brown; brothers, James and Harold Brown; and sister, Mary Elizabeth Dinkler. A WWII
veteran, Brownie served as a bombardier on a B-26 in the European Theater. He retired from General Electric after 33 years of service. Brownie was a 50 year member of the New Holland Masonic Lodge. He was a farmer and a member of the United States Trotting Association. He bred and raced Standard Bred Horses. Brownie is survived by his sister, Martha Ellen Jobe; sisters-in-law, Alta "Dolly" Brown and Ann Brown, all of Washington C.H.; many nieces and nephews; and special friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Forest Cemetery, Circleville with military service provided by AMVETS Post 2256 Honor Guard. No calling hours will be observed.
