Dorothy Jane Everhart Robinett

 

Dorothy Jane Everhart Robinett, 92, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 7:19 p.m. at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus where she had been a patient two days.

Mrs. Robinett was born April 24, 1921, in Highland County, Ohio to Jess and Rosa Ellen Pollard Cox. She spent her younger years near Bainbridge. She moved to Jeffersonville in 1942 and then to Washington Court House in 1951.
She had formerly worked at the Home Restaurant in Jeffersonville, at Sagar Dairy and Kiddie Care Day Care Center in Washington Court House and was a landlord to many families.
Mrs. Robinett was a member of the Grace Community Church. She loved gardening and being around children.
She was married to Donald E. Everhart and then Jesse Robinett, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Everhart; two step sons, Harold and Robert Everhart; step daughter, Martha Dresbaugh; a grandson, Donald Everhart, Jr.; a granddaughter, Kimberly Thompson; two brothers, Glenn and Chester Cox and three sisters, Thelma Knisley, Wanda Turner and Audrey Swiney.
She is survived by two daughters, Lenna Moore and her husband, Robert, and Judy Thompson, all of Washington Court House; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Barbara Everhart and Kenneth and Sandy Everhart, all of Washington Court House and Frank and Carol Everhart of Hillsboro; a step daughter, Juanita Phillips of Washington Court House; several grand, great and great great grandchildren and step grand and great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Judy Everhart and step daughter-in-law, Carol Everhart, both of Washington Court House; a brother, Lewis Cox of Vancouver, Washington; a sister, Mildred Burns of Dayton and a special friend, Inez Peterson of Washington Court House.
The funeral will be Friday, March 21, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Grace Community Church with Sean Fox, pastor at the church and John Pfeifer, pastor at the Gathering Place, officiating. Burial will follow in Bainbridge Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Grace Community Church.
