Russell Lee Dickey, 79, of Clarksburg, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014, at 7:25 a.m. shortly after arrival at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
He was born in November 12, 1934, in Clarksburg, Ohio to Paul Meredith and Hattie Ellen Rinehart Dickey. He was a 1953 graduate of Clarksburg High School and a lifelong resident of the Clarksburg community.
Russell was a machinist at the General Electric Lamp Plant in Circleville for 42 years before his retirement in 1995.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Dickey in 2009; a brother Paul Dickey; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Georgia Minshall; a sister-in-law, Judy Dickey and a brother-in-law, Dale Karr.
Russell is survived by his wife, the former Ronette Lynn Minshall whom he married July 22, 1973; a daughter, Raegan Dickey of Clarksburg and her companion, Josh Showalter; a son, Russell L. Dickey, Jr. of Chillicothe; four grandchildren, Mark, Brandon and Nathan Dickey and Jorja Showalter; three great grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Dickey of Clarksburg; a sister, Ruth Karr of Lancaster; a sister-in-law, Sharon Dickey of Circleville; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Jeanie Minshall of Jeffersonville and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Monday, March 24, 2014, at 1 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland. Burial will follow in the Brown's Chapel Cemetery near Clarksburg.
