Harold B. Rose

"Coach" Harold B. Rose (age 73) of Huber Heights, Ohio went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, August 4th, 2014, after a 2 month illness at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

He was born October 20, 1940 in Fairview, Kentucky to the late Bedford Beckham & Gertie Mae (Burchett) Rose.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Tina Marie (Stalvey) Rose. 4 sons & daughter-in-laws: Tony (Erin) Rose (Bucyrus, OH). Tim (Cathy) Rose (Memphis, TN). Tom (Elizabeth) Rose (Bellefontaine, OH). Terry (Katherine) Rose (Huber Heights, OH). 7 Loving Grandchildren: Tyler, Connor, Drew, Autumn, and Nash Rose. Miranda (Charles) Brymer and Anna (Landon) Thornton. Along with 6 Great Grandchildren.

Coach Rose was a retired varsity boys' basketball coach for over 30 years in various high schools within the state of Ohio and 1 year at Kent State University - East Liverpool Campus. He was also a beloved schoolteacher at many schools throughout the state of Ohio for over 40 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dayton. He touched many lives and will be missed by so many. He was an Incredible Man to all of those he was associated with, Strong and Reliable Sibling, Superlative Coach/Teacher, Dedicated and Loving Husband, Inspirational and Dependable Father, and a Compassionate Enjoyable Grandfather.

His body was donated to science through the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University. A Memorial Service is scheduled to take place at First Baptist of Dayton on Saturday, September 6th, 2014, at 2 pm.
