JUDITH ROST KESSLER TEMPLE TIBBS — The funeral for Judith Rost Kessler Temple Tibbs, 81, of West Jefferson, was held Monday, March 31, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with the Rev. Roscoe Swain, pastor at the Abundant Life Tabernacle in Columbus, officiating. Jeremy Corven gave the opening remarks and offered prayer. Jere Corven gave a tribute in memory of her mother. Unable to attend the service due to being on a teaching assignment in Korea, a recording of "Amazing Grace," sung by Mrs. Tibbs' granddaughter Jonnie Choe and accompanied on the guitar by Jonnie's husband, Kory, was played.
Pallbearers for the burial in Washington Cemetery were Lance, Jonathan and Jeremy Corven, Greg and Garrett Petry and Rob Nash.
Mrs. Tibbs, a retired licensed practical nurse, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Arbor's West in West Jefferson where she had been residing since 2011.
