FAY LANE, age 91, of Washington CH, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 2:50 p.m. at the St. Catherine's Manor.
She was born on May 12, 1922 in Washington CH to Lowell and Zella Riley Thompson. She was a member of the Heritage Memorial Church and the Good Will Sunday School Class. She loved cooking, traveling to the Amish Country and to Florida and visiting shut-ins at the nursing homes and hospitals. She especially loved spending time with all of her family.
Fay was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Martin "Mutt" Lane, granddaughter Samantha Lane and brothers James, Roy, George, Kenneth and Jack Thompson.
Survivors include her children Larry (Janice) Lane, Sandy (Jack) Matthews, Joe (Judy) Lane, Jeannie (Mike) Griffith and Rex (Robin) Lane; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Ilo Thompson as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heritage Memorial Church with Pastor Bruce Morrison and Rev. Joe Duvall officiating with burial to follow at the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
