Martha Ellen Jobe

Martha Ellen Jobe, 90, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 4:20 p.m. at St. Catherine's Manor of Washington Court House where she had been a resident since March.
Mrs. Jobe was born September 25, 1923, at New Holland in Pickaway Co. to Clarence Edgar and Emma Mae Kimmey Brown. She lived most of her life in New Holland where she was a 1941 graduate of New Holland High School. She moved to Washington Court House in 1994.
She had formerly worked at the Jackson Glove Factory in Washington Court House and later at the General Electric Lamp Plant in Circleville.
Mrs. Jobe was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Jobe, on February 11, 2009; by three brothers, James A., Harold E. and Clarence E. Brown, Jr. and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Dinkler.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley Ann and Jack Moats; a grandson, J.G. Moats and his wife, Brooke; three great grandchildren, Drew, Mia and Allie Moats, all of Washington Court House; two sisters-in-law, Ann Brown of Washington Court House and Lucille Jobe of Chillicothe, and dear friends, Mary Ellen Horney of Washington Court House and Dorothy Weidinger, of Dayton.
The funeral will be Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at 1 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland with Richard A. Matthews, minister at the New Holland Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow in the New Holland Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland from 11 a.m. Wednesday until time of the service.
