William Braden Riley

William Braden (Bill) Riley died at home on May 20, 2014. Bill was born May 16 1940 in Washington Court House, Ohio. He graduated from Washington High School, class of 1958. He served in the US Navy from 1958-1962 on the USS Dewey, USS Gyatt, and the USS Luce. He graduated from Ohio University in 1969. He worked for Columbus and Southern Ohio Electric (AEP) as a Civil Engineer for 24 years, and later at Fabcon as a quality control manager. Bill was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns, as well as a dedicated Buckeye sports fan (football and basketball). He enjoyed bluegrass music, life in the country, and spending time with special friends from the class of '58 Groveport. Bill was talented in all things mechanical. He loved cars, especially classic cars. Bill will be remembered for his goofy sense of humor, which lives on in his children. He will be deeply missed. Bill was preceded in death by his parents E. Marlyn and Jane B. Riley. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nina B. Riley, children Susan J. (Dave Majors) Riley, John (Liz Cattaneo) Riley, and William T. (Danielle) Riley, sister, Sue (Sonny) Barrett, and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio where funeral service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 10:00AM. Pastor Wayne Stuntz officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2:30PM at the Good Hope Cemetery, State Route 753, Washington Courthouse, Ohio.
