Patricia Eileen Eubanks, 87, of Washington Court House died Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 4:30 p.m. at the Court House Manor Nursing Home where she had been a resident since June 15, 2011.
Mrs. Eubanks was born February 15, 1927, in Delaware, Ohio to John and Margaret Cryder Long. She was a 1945 graduate of Washington High School and lived most of her life in this community.
She had worked at Montgomery Ward from 1947 to 1985 and then at Sugar Creek Packing Company from 1985 until her retirement in 1996.
Mrs. Eubanks was a member of the St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church where she sang in the choir from 1940 until 1964.
She married James D. Eubanks on April 15, 1950. He preceded her in death on January 27, 1983. She was also preceded by her parents and two sisters, Theresa Wilson and Mary Catherine Davis.
Mrs. Eubanks is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry L. and Patrick A. Denen of Washington Court House; a son and daughter-in-law, James A. and Martha Eubanks of Wheeling, WV; two grandchildren, Joseph J. Denen and his wife, Alica, of Washington Court House and Anne Borselli and her husband, Bill, of Phoenix, AZ and a great granddaughter, Mary Ellen Denen.
The funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 29, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church by the Rev. Father Patrick W. Rogers, pastor at the church. Burial will follow in the St. Colman Catholic Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will then follow in the parish hall at St. Colman Church.
There will be no calling hours.
