Glenn H. Smith, 72, of Washington Court House, passed away at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus on July 28, 2014, going to his new home where the precious angels were waiting to take him to his beloved son Jayson and his wonderful family and friends. He was born Feb. 10, 1942 to the late Kenneth and Beatrice Fletcher Smith in Jasper Mills. Glenn attended Jeffersonville High School where he was the class president. He was in the United States Army where he was stationed in Italy and Germany. Glenn was a loyal employee at Armco Steel for 42 years and was a dedicated employee of Club Apartments for over 22 years. He attended Grace Community Church and loved his precious Father God. Glenn loved his boys and had a great love of sports. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son Jayson Smith, brothers Maynard and Curly Smith, sisters Betty Rodriguez, Patricia Bustos and Evelyn Molek. Glenn is survived by his wife of 54 years Patricia Stoddard Smith, son Rob (Terri) Smith of Wash. C.H. brother Hugh (Linda) Smith of Baltimore MD, a granddaughter Ashley (Jason Johnson) Smith of Wash. C.H. step grandchildren Talisha (Jeff) Marquis and Kelly (Mike Evans) Smith both of Circleville, step great grandchildren Cody, Mackenzie, Garrett, Colton, Courtney, Taylor and Cameron. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, many cousins that he loved dearly, special friends Elgin Card and family, the Tim Horton's Coffee Club and his friends of many years at the Courtview. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 11:00 am at Grace Community Church with Pastor Jay Lucas officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Jeffersonville. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Community Church Youth Ministries or to the Miami Trace Baseball Program.
