The funeral service for Glenn H. Smith took place Friday, Aug. 1 at 11 a.m. at Grace Community Church. Pastor Jay Lucas was the officiant and the Pallbearers were Rob, Jeff, Peanut and Spencer Smith, Elgin, Brandon, and Preston Bentley and Bill Beatty

The songs sung by the Pfeifer Family Singers included "You Raise me Up", "Heaven was Needing a Hero", and "Angels Among Us".

Glenn received recognition for his military service from the Veterans of Fayette County Honor Guard. Commander of the Honor Guard was Bill Foody, and members were Jack Smallwood, Tom Slager, David Frederick, Sheldon Litton, Chuck Snyder, John Mason, and Paul Sands. The buglers were Stephen Zastron and Larry Bishop and those in charge of the flag were Charles 'Buck' Harris and Ed Fisher.

Glenn's final resting place was Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Services were under the direction of the Morrow Funeral Home of Washington C.H.
