George L. Arnold

A memorial service for George L. Arnold, 87, of Columbus, formerly of Washington Court House, was held Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church with Pastor Mick Whistler, minister at the church, officiating. Burial was in the Workman Cemetery in Danville, Ohio.

The flag of the World War II Army veteran was presented to Mr. Arnold's daughter, Marianne Bright, by John Mason and Charles "Buck" Harris who were representing the Veterans of Fayette County Honor Guard.

Mr. Arnold, a retired plant engineer at Armco and widower of Mary Jo Humbert Arnold, died August 11, 2014, at Friendship Village of Columbus where he had been residing three years.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
