Gloria Torres Obituary

Gloria Torres

Nov. 27, 1948 - Nov. 26, 2016

Gloria Torres, age 67, entered into eternal rest on November 26, 2016 surrounded by her

family and friends. She battled difficult illnesses throughout her life. Gloria was born to Juan and Cenobia Torres on November 27, 1948 in French Camp,

California.

Gloria is survived by Billy Myles, the father of her children; daughters, Sylvia Wong (James) and Andrea Guinnane (Joseph); sons Eric Myles (Jessica) and Gabriel Myles; her beloved grandchildren Xavier, Branden, Kyle, Amber, Christopher-George, Alexander, Gary, Chanthavey, Eric Jr., and

Jasmine; great-grandchildren Avery, Adyen, Alaysia Rose. Gloria is also survived by her sister, Theresa Villlase¤or, brothers John (Ester), Joe (Lydia), Aurelio (Helen) Torres, and

numerous nieces and nephews.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents Juan and Cenobia, her brothers Jesse, George, Genaro, and sister Carmen Torres.

Gloria was a beautiful, caring woman full of love and wisdom, so generous and smart. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and friend to many near and far. Gloria was an avid reader of Reader's Digest and James

Patterson novels and anything related to the medical field; an awesome cook that could whip up something delicious out of anything, known for her baking, homemade tortillas, beans, menudo, and tamales; she was a woman of many talents.

Gloria received her medical assistant certification in 1995, but was unable to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse and cannot forget to mention how proud she was of her high school archery award.

Gloria lived for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and was proud of each of them. She is missed dearly.

The family would also like to extend their sincere appreciation to Michelle and Sabrina (caregivers) for taking such

wonderful care of Gloria in

good times and in bad times.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 6th at De Young Memorial Chapel, 601 N.

To my cousin Gloria,

The Lord has called you home. You no longer have to endure no more suffering on this earth; in Heaven we will have no more pain or suffering but eternal life with the Lord. Thank God for his grace and mercy! Rest in peace cousin.

Tia Gloria,
I have many fond memories of staying over Grandma's with you and Tia Terrie. I'll miss you, but I take solace in knowing you are no longer suffering and finally at peace.
Carve your name on hearts, not tombstones. A legacy is etched into the minds of others and the stories they share about you.
Shannon L. Alder
I have only happy memories of you and have and always will share my stories of you with others. They make me smile and laugh.
With much love, your nephew,
Johnny Torres
