Leslie Virgil Thornhill Obituary

Les was born in Paradise, California on March 1, 1953, passed away from a heart attack on June 6, 2012.

He moved to Red Bluff as a small child with his parents from Stirling City when Diamond Match Lumber Mill opened. He went to local schools and graduated 8th grade from Antelope School where he worked as a custodian. He also graduated from Red Bluff High in 1972. Prior to being a custodian, (which I think was his favorite job of all) he worked at Diamond (Roseburg) for 17 years and Pactiv for 13 years. He loved to hunt, fish, camp and drink a beer (or three) with friends. He left behind his wife Pam of 33 years and their three children; son Scott Thornhill of Everett, Washington, son Brian Thornhill (Renee) of Red Bluff, Rebecca Gregg (Robert) of Red Bluff. He also leaves his grandchildren who were what made him smile, Aaron and Bree Thornhill (Scott's children), Haylie and Grayson (Brian's children) and Katie and Abby Gregg (Rebecca's children). Also left behind are his mother Donna Thornhill, his sister Ann Peterson, brothers John and Eddie Thornhill. He was preceded in death by his father Tinker Thornhill and his daughter Lindy Sue Thornhill.

There will be a celebration of life at his home on June 23, 2012 at 3:00, bring your lawn chair and your favorite beverage and tell me stories about Les. We will always love him and miss him, he was the life of the party!
