Nadine Parrish Arano of Red Bluff passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008 at the age of 86.

She was born February 14, 1922 in Foss, Oklahoma to Ben and Pearl Parrish.
Nadine was a loving mother and grandmother who leaves behind her children Jim (Sandy) Arano of Red Bluff, Karen (Edward) Owens of Willows, Susan (Larry) Rinehart of Durham and John Arano.
She also leaves behind her grandchildren Nic and Cort Arano of Red Bluff, Jeff Owens of Sacramento, Camie Poyner of Monterey and Christy Patterson of Durham and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo D. Arano, grand daughters Sarah Rinehart and Jody Arano and her siblings Lloyd Parrish, John Parrish and Pearline Lindberg.
After graduating from Whittier High School, Nadine moved to Red Bluff where she became a telephone operator for Pacific Bell. She later met and then married Leo D. Arano on Dec. 8th, 1943 and became a homemaker.
Nadine enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading and family get togethers. She later resumed working for Pac Bell and retired in 1985.
Services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 11th, 2008 at the Chapel of the Flowers - Hoyt Cole.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent in care of the Lassen House for their Alzheimer's Memorial or to the Hospice Program. We extend our heart-felt gratitude to both these organizations for the excellent care and love they provided to our Mom.
