NILS ROEHNE July 30, 1945 - February 15, 2013 Nils RoehneLoving family man Nils Roehne, 67, of Longview was born July 30, 1945, in Stange, Norway, and died Feb. 15, 2013, at St. John Medical Center.Nils earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Oregon State University. He moved to the local area from California and worked as a chemical engineer at the Georgia Pacific mill until 2012. He enjoyed cross-country skiing and was an active member of the Lions Club in Red Bluff, Calif., serving in numerous offices and was a member of the Sons of Norway.Nils is survived by his wife, Majean Roehne at home; two daughters, Ellen Roehne of Modesto, Calif., and Berit Grandi of Sandy, Ore.; three grandchildren, Avery Cloward and Flynn Cloward, both of Modesto and Marco Grandi of Sandy, Ore.; two sons-in-law, Chris Cloward of Modesto and Jeff Grandi-Hoover of Sandy; his mother, Ragna Helseth in Norway; and four siblings, Knut Rohne, Ola Rohne, Lise Helgesen and Per Helseth, all in Norway.He was preceded in death by his father, Ola Rohne.A funeral service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Longview Presbyterian Church.Memorial contributions may be made to the Longview Presbyterian Church, P.O.
