Grandpa,
Yesterday was one of the hardest days of my life. I have tried 4 times to write to you. How can I, of all people, be at such a loss for words. Thank you for always loving me, Niko and the kids and being our biggest fan. I love you and miss you something terrible! I have so much to be grateful for. So much respect and admiration for you. You were one of a kind! I bet Grandma, was sure glad to see you when you arrived. I wonder if you will still continue your quarter and teeth tricks up there. I wonder if you'll continue your jokes and stories and gardening up there. I wonder what heaven's like with the three most intelligent and strong minded people I know. I know your up there with Grandma and Popa because you told me that Popa helped you believe there was something after this life. I truly hope it is the happiest place for you and Grandma. Make sure you visit me. I love you!

The VFW in Anderson sends their condolences to the family of George Anstead. We still have the picture of the 7 Anstead brothers that were members of our Post. I am glad that our Honor Guard will be there to give George a final military salute. We were honored to have them as members of our VFW Post 9650. I think one brother was a Korean War veteran. God Bless the Anstead family. Bill McKinney long time member of the VFW Post 9650,who remembers the Anstead brothers

George, I believe you died of a broken heart. Your beloved wife Fae was with you almost 70 years and since her journey to heaven in April, just a couple months ago, life has not been the same for you. We know that you wanted to be with her and missed her terribly. We are sure that Fae welcomed you with open arms along side of our Lord and Savior. Rest in Peace and you can be sure that you both will never be forgotten by all of us who loved and cherished you. You had such a wonderful life on this earth and now will be angels for all of us who love you.

Dearest Uncle George. We will deeply miss you. We'll miss the love you showed everyone. You were in Santa Cruz with Aunt Fae for the Birth of our first son and less than 2 years ago, you two traveled to Paradise for Mom's Memorial. You leave a wonderful legacy for your whole family.
Blessings and Sympathy to Sandy and the family. Love and Hugs,
Ron and Jean
