But thoughts of you are with me still and often there are tears. You whisper in the rustling leaves that linger in the fall; And in the gentle breeze I'm sure I hear your call. A part of you remains with me that no one can take away. It gives me strength to carry on at dawning of new day. I think of happy times we shared, and then I softly sigh. But this I know; we'll meet again And never say goodbye. ~ Author Unknown ~

Obituaries from the Past Three Days

Alcala, Andrew "Andy" - Redding
Andrew "Andy" Alcala Redding, CA Andy entered this world as a tiny, premature baby, but went to heaven as a man with a heart that was bigger than he. Andy was born May 1, 1973 to Roy and Evelyn Alcala. Andy died in an accidental drowning June 29, 2015. He leaves the love of his life, his daughter Maci. (He was preceded in death by his father, Roy). Andy loved his family and leaves his mother, Evelyn Alcala and two brothers, Roy (Julia) and Thomas (Charity). He also leaves nieces and nephews, Savanah, Noah, Hunter, Andin, and Aurora. Andy loved to fish and was always ready to guide some lucky fisherman to get their "biggest catch." He was very giving of his time and all who knew him will have the best memories of Andy's personality. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Anderson River Park on Sunday, August 16th at 3 pm. Please come and share with his family and friends the memories that will honor Andy.
