Susan Lenore Skaggs was taken from us to soon on Saturday, December 1, 2012 in Redding, CA after a life span of 68 years. She was born February 19, 1944 in San Jose, CA.
Preceded in death by her parents, Stan and Mary Dooley. Survived by her 4 sons: Robert Richards (Dianne), Steve Richards (Sue), Mike Sparman (Naomi), James Sparman (Connie), Lacee Wares; 13 grandchildren: Shelby, Natasha, Linnea, Jordan, Michelle, Collin, Megan, Riley, Jaden, Brandon, Megan, James Jr. and Kaden; 2 sisters: Nueme and Kathy; 5 brothers: Jim, Donn, Duane, Dennis and Stan along with her loving companion Mike McDonald.
Susan was a life time California resident who lived in Dixon, Redding, French Gulch and Burney. She was a giver and loved her family and friends. Susan was a long time Moose member and played on the women's bowling team. Susan had many work experiences while raising a family. Susan had the first female owned photography studio in Redding. She was in sales, owned several restaurants and finally a laundry business in Burney before retiring. Susan loved to cook, fish, camp and spend time with her family.
A celebration of life will be held December 15, 2012 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Redding Moose Lodge located at 320 Lake Blvd. Redding, CA 96003. Side dishes are welcomed.
