Edwin Rudolph Obituary
Edwin "Ed" Louis Rudolph, 87 years old of Redding, CA entered into God's care on
September 24, 2010 at Shasta Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 1, 1923 in Esparto, CA.
He graduated from Woodland High School in 1942, and immediately joined the U.S. Merchant Marines.
He served as an Ensign in the engineering branch during WWII.
Ed and his wife Addie owned and operated Woodland Moving and Storage in Woodland, CA, from
1953-1970. They owned and operated Jacobson Transfer & Storage (Bekins agents) in Redding from 1962-1991. They retired in 1991.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Addie Estelle; daughter Louise Johnston and son-in-law Gary Johnston of Arizona; and daughter-in-law Fran Rudolph of Woodland. Grandchildren: Kari Holstein and Lori Rudolph, both of Stockton; Cheri Rudolph of Hawaii; and Tammi Herrington of Washington. Great grandchildren: Ricky and Jannessa Jager; Joey Holstein; Ashley and Devon Herrington; and Christian Scott.
He is preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Rudolph; parents, Irene and Harold (Skipper) Rudolph; brothers, Robert, John, and James Rudolph.
Ed will be remembered for his generosity and sense of humor.
His attitude in life was "be good… or call me."
Services will be private. Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel of Redding are in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed's name to Interim Hospice, 970 Executive Way, Redding, CA 96002 would be appreciated.
The family wishes to thank the 3rd floor nurses at Shasta Regional Medical Center and Dr. Andy Solkovits for their incredible care of both Ed and the family.

We can never turn back the pages of time, but if I could I'd turn back to Chapter 1, "1957 - My Uncle and I - The Beginning" Thank you.
I shall remember Ed to the end of my day.
He is the last of the line of Harold C. and Irene (Sebastian) Rudolph.
My prayers to Addie and all - to family, and what a beautiful family we are.
