Lourdes Wusstig Obituary
Lourdes Sablan Wusstig, born in Guam to her parents Antonio Delgado Sablan & Anna Borja Benavente on December 12, 1927 passed away peacefully at her home in Redding with her children and grandchildren at her side on Christmas Eve, 2010. In 1972, she moved with her husband and 18 children to Shasta County (Cottonwood) to establish and operate the "Guam Ranch".
Lourdes is predeceased by her husband Felix Camacho Wusstig, sons Bennie Sablan Wusstig and Felix Sablan Wusstig, daughter Juanita (Janet) Wusstig Ecclesfield, grandson Patrick Glen Ignacio, and granddaughter Grace Louise Wusstig.
Lourdes is survived by 10 sons ; James, Ernie, Rudy, George, Fred, Richard, Eugene, Ronald, Gerard, and Anthony; also survived by five daughters Margaret Cruz, Teresita Dela Cruz, Bernadita Garcia, Naomi Bowen, and Lourdes Wusstig. She is also survived by 52 grandchildren, 77 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and two on the way.
She had a full life and was true to her faith. Her love and generosity will be missed by all whose lives were touched by her. The matriarch of a large loving family, Lourdes will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services include a Rosary at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Palo Cedro at 6 p.m. on Thursday December 30; then on Friday, December 31, a Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Parish in Anderson; Burial Service will be at 1 p.m. at the Cottonwood Cemetery.
