Eric Fredrick Cyphers

1965 - 2014

Eric Cyphers was born October 20, 1965 to parents Delwin and Joyce Cyphers and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 19, 2014.

Eric was a loving husband, son, stepfather, brother and uncle. An avid sportmans, lover of the Dallas Cowboy's football, weight lifting, and hunting. He loved the outdoors and animals. He spent most of his time outside with his dogs, especially his constant companion DeeDee. He enjoyed feeding and talking to the birds. Eric attended Shasta College, studying forestry and he also played college football at Shasta College. He was also a firefighter for the Mountaineers, a job he greatly enjoyed. He has been a landscaper for the last 20 years, a job so fitting for the outdoorsman and lover of all God's nature. Eric will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves behind his wife of 21 years, Grace Cyphers, aka Panda Bear, stepson's Justin Gist, James Henry and wife Tephi and Ted Henry, stepdaughters Margaret Edwards and Katie Holmes and husband Chance. Sister-in-law's Donna Branch and husband David, Robin Stannard, brother-in-law Gene Stannard and 6 grandchildren. He also leaves behind his mother, Joyce Cyphers, sister's Linda Blasingame, Judy King, Connie Hipp and Sandy Nester, brothers Mike, Dan and Scott Cyphers and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Genevea Barrett, brother-in-law Ted Stannard, his father Delwin Cyphers, sister-in-law Sybil Cyphers and brother-in-law Joseph Blasingame.

Services will be held on March 25, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Faith Assembly Church, 8595 Airport Road, Redding, California.
