Urban Hart Faubion

Urban Hart Faubion, 87 of Fall River Mills, CA died peacefully on July 10, 2013. He is survived by his nine children, Yvonne, Kathleen, Daniel, Rebecca, Matthew, Gerald, Luke, Amy and Emily; 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He was born to Walter David Faubion, Sr. and Ollie Hart Faubion on September 24, 1925 in Austin, Texas. Urban served with the U.S. Army as a Radio Technician during WWII. He held degrees in Electrical Engineering from University of Texas, Patent Law from George Washington University, and an M. S. in Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He worked for Westinghouse, General Electric and SRI International as Patent Counsel.

Urban was a devoted husband to Geraldine Faubion for 62 years and a loving father to their 9 children. He actively praised and glorified God in church and in the community through music ministry, ministry of instructing others in the faith and through prayer. He taught his family and friends to enjoy and honor God's creation by sharing his love of backpacking, canoeing, and skiing. He enjoyed photography, needlework and family gatherings.

Friends and family will gather for the Rosary on Sunday, July 21, 2013, 7pm at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Fall River Mills. The Funeral Mass will be July 22, 2013, 10 am at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Fall River Mills. The burial will follow the Funeral Mass at 12 pm at Pine Grove Cemetery in MacArthur. A celebration of Urban's life will be held at his home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a . A few of Urban's favorite charities are: Intermountain Hospice, Soldier Mountain Volunteer Fire Department and the Burney-Fall River Education Foundation.
