Albert Bias Obituary

Albert W. Bias, 90 of Shingletown passed peacefully in his sleep October 2nd, 2010. Al served two years in the Conservation Corps to support his mother (widowed) and two young brothers during the great depression learning to operate trucks and heavy equipment. Skills he used his entire life. Al served in the Army during WWII as a Tank Commander, achieving the rank of Tech Sergeant. Al drove big rigs his entire life, retiring at the age of 78. Al was a member of the Shasta Mining Assoc. and the Lost Dutchman Mining Assoc. Al was born in Liberty, OK, September 21, 1920 to Everett Bias and Lucy Barnes.
Preceded in death by brothers, Ernie, Jesse and Arvel, sister Addie and son, Albert E. Bias. Al is survived by his bride of 64 years, Ruth, brother Art of Apache Junction, AZ, children, Judy (Ray), Tahlequah, OK, Allan (Debbie), Peoria, AZ, Bill (Carrie), Stockton, CA, Kenneth (Susan), Bella Vista, CA, Bonnie (Bob), North Bend, OR, Laura (Russ), Monticello, GA, Larry, Redding, CA, Sarah (Pat) Burlingame, CA, 32 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 7 at Allen & Dahls in Palo Cedro, CA. Graveside services to follow at Inwood Ogburn Cemetery in Shingletown.

Ken, I am so sorry for your loss.. I know it is hard even if you see it coming. I just lost my mom recently. My heart and prayers are with you and you family.

I Knew Al most of my life (I'm 72) He was quite a guy. Ruth & Al will always have a soft place in our hearts.
wish we could attend the services, but Estes Park, Co. is a bit far. hang in there Ruth & family.
