Birdeen Goldsmith Obituary

Birdeen Goldsmith, of Shingletown, CA, passed into the presence of the Lord on September 16, 2010. She was 85.
Birdeen Taylor came into this life on January 16, 1925 in Boise, ID, attended the University of Idaho in Moscow, and married Warren Goldsmith on September 7, 1947. Together, they raised two sons, Steven, born 1948, deceased 1968, and Ted, born 1957. Warren predeceased Birdeen in 2006.
Warren and Birdeen moved to Weed in 1962 from Longview, WA, and then to Big Springs in 1973. In their spare time, they enjoyed traveling in their trailer and gardening. Birdeen was also an accomplished artist and held classes for a time in her Weed home.
Birdeen moved in with son Ted and his family in Shingletown in 2006. She made many new friends while on her daily walks in the forest, and also while attending Golden Umbrella, an adult day care center in Redding. She also enjoyed going to Trinity Alliance Church with her family.
Although she will be missed by her family and friends, we will all eventually be reunited in heaven together with our Savior.
No services are planned.

Ted and family, so sorry to read about Birdeen. She was truly a special lady. She will be missed. I tried to locate her after Warren passed away, but did not know where to start. I know she is in a happy place now with the Lord. God bless all your family. Julia DeVore (Warren's secretary at IP)
