1948 - 2010

Redding, California and former Soldotna, Alaska resident,
Charlotte Brunsberg Marx, 62, died Sunday, November 28, 2010, with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Charlotte was born October 8, 1948, in Redding, California. She graduated from Central Valley High School in 1966. She lived in Alaska for 20 years where she was area sales manager for Lamonts in Fairbanks and later assistant manager for Gold Strike Lanes in Soldotna. She managed Sequoia Garden Apts in Redding until 2008.

Her hobbies include bowling, arts and crafts, beading jewelry and her first true love, dancing.

Her family says she was strong and a fought hard until the end.
Many have said that she is the strongest woman they have ever met.

She is survived by her children, Therese Kirkland and husband Terry of Troup, TX, Dawni Giugler and her husband Layne of Soldotna, AK, Donald Marx and his wife Amanda of Crescent City, CA, and Crystal Rodriguez and her husband Tony of Bakersfield, CA, 9 grandchildren Shawn, Sarah, Shane, Cheyenne, Shelby, Tyler, Hanna, Katilyn and Lily, and great granddaughter Aaliyah, sisters Carol Hetrick and her husband John of Auburn, WA and Lynda Clark and her husband Don of Redding, CA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A service will be held Tuesday, November 30 at 1:00 pm at Little Country Church.

She was not only our apartment manager for many many years, or my mothers closet friend, but she was also like a mother to me. And Crystal like a little sister. My family will miss her dearly, and I will miss see her familar face in church. God bless.
