1937 - 2011
Darlene Mae Criss, age 73, lost her long courageous battle with cancer on June 12, 2011.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years Ron Criss , and three children, Steven Criss, Lorie Burch, Caren Baquerizo, and five grandchildren, Meghan, Kristen, Daniel, Andrew, Phillip.
Born in Blythe, CA on December 21st, 1937 to Dale and Leona Bryant. Darlene's family moved to Redding in the early 1950's where she resided most of her life.
The most important thing in Darlene's life was her family. She loved being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Redding, CA, and worked for many years in the Gateway School District. Darlene had a great love of the outdoors and nature, and spent much of her time there with her family. Among her many hobbies she loved quilting, scrap-booking, and volunteering at the Turtle Bay museum.
Viewing will be Wednesday June 15th Noon-5pm at Allen & Dahl on Eureka Way.
A celebration of Darlene's life will take place at the First Baptist Church of Redding on Friday June 17th, 2011 at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made in memory of Darlene Criss to the Mercy Hospice program 1544 Market Street, Redding, CA 96001

Deepest and sincere sympathy. Remember Mrs. Criss from Bass School where my children attended-her warm heart and kindness. Blessed to know she is home with her savior-resting from her battle.

TO THE CRISS FAMILY: Being friends for over 50 years we will miss Darlene but will remember the many times camping,fishing,meals, visiting,& working together.Our prayers & best wishes to the whole family, & we will see you in HEAVEN Darlene: Al & Dottie Cunningham & family.
