Kennewick, WA
Dixie Lee Templeton Nelson Stevenson passed away in Kennewick, WA on August 14th 2015 at the age of 81. Dixie was born on Dec. 29, 1933 to Nina and Arley Templeton. Dixie was formerly a resident of Red Bluff, Los Molinos, Vallejo and Redding CA.
Preceding Dixie in passing are her husbands: James Dale Nelson (1959) and Robert "Bob" Stevenson (1994), parents Nina and Arley Templeton and sister Jewell Templeton Drenon. She leaves behind her daughter Twyla Gentle (Walter) of Burbank, WA, son David Nelson (Cheryl) of Mountain Home, AR, grandchildren: Renee Storm (Eric) of Portland, OR, Lindsey Lockwood (Jeremy) of Vancouver, WA, Matthew Gentle of Burbank, WA and Leanne Sherwood (Nathan) of Gonzales, LA and great grandchildren Eva Lockwood and Hailey Sherwood. She leaves behind step children Lance Stevenson of Susanville, CA, Jana Bator (Victor) of Sloughhouse, CA, David Stevenson (Elaine) of Sacramento, CA and Mile Stevenson (Linda) of Anderson, CA and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will take place at the First Church of God on Luther Road in Red Bluff, CA. A reception will follow. Services will begin at 2 pm on Saturday the 12th of September 2015. A private family burial will be at the Los Molinos Cemetery.

We are blessed to have known Dixie and we shared many fun times with her, as well as some tears and prayers, but we will always remember her great sense of humor and her devotion to our Lord, Jesus Christ. We miss her earthly presense but celebrate her home going to eternal peace and joy with The Saviour.
