Faye Cottrell-Collins Obituary
Faye Cottrell-Collins passed peacefully in Redding on September 30, 2010 at age 85.
Faye was born in St. Clair County, Alabama on August 2, 1925 to Noah and Leona Meads.
She was the last surviving sibling of seven.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Royce Seese, her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Todd Slaughter, and four grandchildren, Will Seese, Rocky, Andi and Cruz Slaughter.
Faye was a real estate professional in Shasta County for over 30 years. She was bestowed Honorary Member for Life by the California Association of Realtors and the Shasta County Association of Realtors. Over the course of her career she served these organizations in various capacities, including Grievance Committee and Social Projects.
Faye was a longstanding member of the Shasta Baptist Church. She also volunteered her services at Mercy Medical Center as a member of the Mercy Guild.
Services will be held at Allen & Dahl (Redding) on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at 11:00 am.
A Committal Service will take place at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo at 12:45 pm.
In lieu of flowers, Faye would be honored to have donations sent to the
California Veterans Assistance Group, for the Memorial Chapel Fund (Igo), at
737 Auditorium Dr., Redding, CA 96001.
