Gladys Fowler Obituary
Gladys B. Fowler died on Wednesday, December 28, 2010, at home in Cottonwood, CA. She was 90 years old.
She was born July 20, 1920 in Kiowa County, Oklahoma. Moved to Southern California in 1942 and to Northern California in 1984. She most recently lived in Anderson. She retired from Rexall Drug Store in 1972. She was an active member of the Anderson VFW Post 9650, Women's Auxiliary for for over 26 years, attended the United Methodist Church in Anderson, and was a member of the Anderson Frontier Senior Center
She is predeceased by her Husband, Ralph Fowler . She is survived by her son, Dean Hancock of Cottonwood, her daughter Reta Hancock-Lovett of Redding, and three stepchildren - Ralph Fowler of Southern California, Merrilee Fowler of Florida, and Judy, of New Jersey. She also has five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A memorial Service will be held at the Anderson VFW, Post 9650 at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2011. The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the St. Elizabeth's Hospice in Red Bluff or the Anderson VFW Post 9650, Women's Auxilary Cancer Fund.

We just returned home from dear Gladys's memorial service at VFW in Anderson. Gladys was our sweet neighbor for 28 years. She always had something for us at Christmas. She will be missed by us and so many others, especially her family.
