Iva Dell Cook

1921 - 2010

Iva Dell Cook, 89, went home to be with her Lord, December 2, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Redding. Dell was born October 11, 1921 to Cody and Hazel Dell Stowe in Anderson, CA.

She was the youngest of five children, and was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Cody and Lewis and sisters Margie and Ella, and her daughter Linne Dell.

At age 17, she married her husband, Delbert C. Cook.
They were married December 16, 1938 in Red Bluff, CA.

They were married 54 years at Delbert's death in 1992. She was mother to Evelyn Wetmore, Delbert E. and Wayne, all of Redding. She had 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Dell loved her Lord Jesus and was a wonderful example of Christian love to all who knew her. She was always there to offer shelter, a good meal or a helping hand to any one in need. Dell devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her mother until she passed away at age 93.

Arrangements are being handled by Allen & Dahl, Redding.
There will be no funeral services.

A special "Thank You" to Golden Living Center in Redding for three years of loving care for Iva Dell.
