Larry is one of a kind. I first met him at bass lake in 1957.
We were fellow rangers on the Klamath N F and we both were in the Shasta-Trinity SO for several years before he retired.

We will keep Larry, you, and your family in our thoughts and prayers/ Gary and Dolores Munsey

Dear Chris,
I loved it when Larry was about to leave, He would say, "See all you good people again." Dick enjoyed doing a scuplture of you both. Dick passed away in 2002. I feel your lost. Alma Rafnson-Silberstein

The Ballews have become very special friends over the years and Larry will really be missed. His stories, his involvement in numerous different causes, his expertise in forestry and photography and his zest for life made him an awesome person.

Chris and Sam~ I am so sorry for your loss, Larry being taken has left hole in all of our hearts. He was so special to so many. My the following give you some comfort.

•God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

A great guy. You knew it when you met him. Very knowledgeable about his profession and the world around him. He had a great gift for conversation.
