Mae Mineo Obituary

Mae Mineo

1927 - 2010

Our beloved mother, best friend, and grandmother, went home to Our Lord on November 15, 2010.
Born December 3rd, 1927 in Buffalo, New York to Mary and Joseph Vassallo, and preceded in death by her parents and sister Ida Webster.

Mae is survived by her five children, daughters Lynn and Chris sons, Randy Scott and Gary and their families. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, her faithful dog Sonny and Marty, the love of her life.

Mae's profession was in dance and instruction, and was the owner of Dance World Studio in Southern California. Her passion for the arts inspired hundreds of children and she was very proud of her dance productions. In addition Mae owned Buttercup Manor, an elderly care home for nearly 14 years. Her loving, caring spirit was evident in the lives she touched during their stay at Buttercup.

Services for Mae are scheduled Friday November 19th at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Shasta View Dr. in Redding. The Rosary will begin at 10:30 followed by mass. A reception will be held at the home of her daughter Lynn. Internment is scheduled for Saturday December 4th at the San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills - Southern California. She will be interned with her beloved mother. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St Jude's children hospital.

My darling I will see you in my dreams. I didn't think I could love anyone again but I was wrong. I love you so very much and I miss you deaply. I thank you for being so wonderful to me and my family. You were and still are a super lady, neighbor, friend and lover. I thank you for all the wondeful memories. I will keep them in my heart forever. Love you, Marty
