Richard J. "Dick" Lamb

1924 - 2010

Dick went to be with his Lord on November 20, 2010.
He was born in Big Creek, CA and had the distinction of being the only person ever to be born there, delivered by his father and a neighbor lady.

At 17 years of age he joined the U.S. Navy and was distinguished as a Pearl Harbor Survivor just 3 months after enlisting. He was active in the PHSA for many years retaining the position of Chaplain for many years.
Dick was a board member for the Clear Creek Horsetown Preserve for many years.

Dick is survived by his loving wife of 82 years, Betty, and daughter Laurie and son in law Jim Fain.

Memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church 2440 Hilltop Dr., Redding on
Thursday December 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.

with interment at Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo.

I loved listening to Dick's stories about how he proudly served his country. He was a very proud American. He will be greatly missed. Until we see you again.....
