Dear Dena and Deanna, I am so very sorry for your great loss. I became friends with Bob back in the very early 50's. His sister Shirley and I were best friends from grade school on until her passing a few years back. Your dad and his brothers were as close as I ever got to having brothers even though I don't think they realized that.
I knew Frankie from school days but not as well as the Trotters. I know Bob loved her and they made a great couple.
As years passed I didn't get a chance to see them often but they were always on my heart.
I must tell you that a week hasn't gone by but what I think about your dad. I'm quick to explain. Bob taught me to play Solitaire and if I ever "cheated" he always seemed come out of no where and catch me and then, laughing, "Ohhh nooo!" shaking his head pointing at the cards. For years I have played Solitaire on my computer and now as I check to see if I 'missed' a play I can still hear the laugh and the "gotcha".
I'm sorry that I didn't learn of his passing until the 15th so I missed the services.
You were both blessed to have had such wonderful parents and I was blessed to have had two such wonderful friends for ever 55 years.
They will be greatly missed and never forgotten. God Bless you girls.

Hi Dena and Deanna this is your cousin Lori Trotter-Bennett.I just found out from Susie Trotter on fb and really wanted you to know I am so sorry for your loss.I want you to know I have the best memories of my Uncle Bob and my Aunt Frankie whether its a memory of once when I saw them at Holiday Mkt for a minute,at a Trotter picnic for a couple hours or sitting in Uncle Dons backyard smoking cigs with my Aunt Frankie chatting.I especially remember a trip to Dads Camp one summer and how much fun I had.I love them both so much and will never forget one memory no matter how insignificant it may seem or might seem to anybody else.I feel your mom probably never knew just how much I took from every talk I had with her and she taught me so much without knowing it.As for my Uncle Bob,he was and is my most cherished Uncle out of them all and I will miss him very much.I will miss them both very much.I hope you both are doing as well as can be expected, youve had your share of loss and I just want you to know although I am very sorry I also feel you both and your children are so icredibly fortuneate for having been blessed with people as awesome as my Uncle Bob and Aunt Frankie as your parents.Im not sure if Dena remembers the day I called the house and talked to her asking how my Uncle Bob was doing. Its been maybe a couple yrs but eventhough I hadnt seen him in quite a few yrs he was never forgotten by me.I would love to get pics of the (grown)children and a note from the 2 of you.My address is 3561 Via Gala Lompoc,Ca 93436...
