The last time I saw Verna was at St. Joseph Bunko night and we talked about working together at Pac Bell here in Redding. It had been a long time since I had seen her and she looked the same. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Oh how I will miss my dear friend. Verna became my boss back in 1963, and boy was she strict. She always ruled with a iron hand, but we all still loved her. I was fortunate enough to have spent alot of time with her these last few months, trying to help her as much as possible. I will treasure all the fun we had at the church bunco games, she just loved that. She will be very much missed. Jean Russell

In addition to working with Verna, we spent time volunteering for the Enterprise Eagle Football team. She was a good person and always talked about the Grand kids.. She will be missed

In addition to working with Verna I had the pleasure of spending fun time with her when she volunteered to help with the Enterprise Eagle Football team. I also remember sitting up with her all night when a Family Member had an accident. A very long night in which I got to know her even better.

I loved Verna's joyful and loving personality. She will be greatly missed by many but the memories are wonderful.

I first met Verna when I went to work in
1963. She has been a life long dear friend. We fondly refered to her as Sarge. She ran a tight ship, but had a heart of gold. Whatever you needed, she was there to help. She did a lot of charitable work through the At&t Telecom Pioneers. She was tough, but in the end the Cancer won. She fought a great battle and never let it get her down. She was always positive and up beat about everything. She loved her family and her friends. I miss you my dear friend, rest in peace.

When I started work on Market Street in 1963 Verna was my supervisor. She helped us all learn the proper way of being a operator. Verna was a special person.I would see her at the market she always called me by my name I was first employed with and could never remember my new married name. I will miss Verna, but have many memories of working with her.
Sincerely Yours,
Wanda Bourg
