Vernon "Gene" E. Reagan
May 18, 1948 - September 9, 2013
A Graveside Service will be held for Vernon "Gene" E. Reagan, 65, of North Bend, Oregon at 2:00 pm Friday, September 20, 2013 at Eagle Point National Cemetery, 2763 Riley Rd., Eagle Point, Oregon.
Vernon was born May 18, 1948 at Madera, California, the son of Austin V. and Helen E. (Gazaway) Reagan.
He passed away September 9, 2013 at his North Bend, Oregon home.
He was raised and educated in Redding, California. Vernon served in the Army during the Vietnam war as a door gunner on a helicopter crew. After an honorable discharge he returned to Redding and was married to Marilyn Mayfield, to this union were born three lovely daughters; they later divorced. Vernon graduated from Shasta College in 1978. He married Juanita Meeks, the "love of his life." He worked as a cryogenics operator for Liquid Air in Redding and later Kennewick, Washington until retiring.
Vernon loved the movies and had an extensive collection, he enjoyed fishing, cooking, eating ice cream, and following current events on Fox News; but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by daughters: Suzann (Steve) Anaya of North Bend, OR., Roxann (Jason) Purdue of Fair Oaks, CA., Angela (Michael) Culmer of Redding, CA., Rusty (Jesse) Vargas of Alvin, TX., 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Sisters Vickie Brown of Spokane, WA and Valerie Hardin of Port St. Lucie, FL.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Reagan, and his brother, Ronald D. Reagan.
