Bertha was the best daughter in law you could have ever asked for. She took from you only your love and kindness andgave the same to you in return. Our faith allows us to know that we will see each other again, a year has almost past since we last sat and spoke and I'm wishing away the days until we can sit and speak again.

Bertha, thank you for remembering my mom with kindness and love that she so deserves. She always thought of you often and spoke of her love for you that even after all these years never faded. You always held a special place in her heart and memories. Remember her and pray for her eternal life to be free and joyful once again. You will always be a Fedele...

I've read and looked at your obituary everyday since your death. I'm still trying to come to terms with your passing. Everything is changed. The silence is at times unbearable. Your possessions left behind have been picked over and sewn and divided into items that no longer hold your scent, your warmth or you. The distribution of possessions can never replace you, yet time moves forward with nothing left behind except the memories.

So begins the new year, the first year without you in it. Not a happy time, no celebration to be had. Quiet and absent of your smile and laughter. It will be a tough year to endure.

There was a documentary on t.v. about James Gandolfini that you really would have liked. But watching it I thought how many great special people were called home this year. You were called home in the year of greatness and special , loved people. You traveled in a year with so many others who were loved by many and who never can be replaced. Your loss, like so many others this year can never be gotten over just remembered with the love and kindness you bestowed on others while you were here.

It's hard to believe it's already been one month since you've been gone from this earth. The month has been filled with many days and nights of sorrow and tears. You left your gentle mark on the lives you brought into this world and those you've met along the way. Kenny loggins has a song " Celebrate me home", I hope your celebration was all that you hoped it would be. Everytime I hear that song I will remember you with a smile and although not without tears, will rejoice in the fact that I will see you again. Love you always and you are forever with me, whether i'm watching the Walton's or Mob Wifes. Your last smile we shared together is always with me.

I remember when Margie passed and how heart broken you were. She was one of your true and dearest friends. Now you are also gone, but hopefully you and Margie are laughing and having a smoke together again. I take comfort in knowing that you are in good company with people that loved you here on earth and went before you to prepare for your journey home. I cry for you everyday, for my loss but smile at the thought of your new found happiness being with the ones who loved you just as much.

So the time has come where your physical being is no longer here, all thats left is your material possessions. Things that you held dear, not fancy or expensive, but possessions that were special to you, things that embraced your warmth and kindness. To have the chance to trade all your possessions for one more day with you I would give anything.

I was saddend to hear of your passing. I wasn't your time. I hope you have gotten a chance to meet up with Don again. I'm sure he's been waiting on his Coors and cribbage partner. Rest in peace. I miss your sense of humor and your smile.

Pearl was the most gentle and kind person I have ever known. I will miss her all the days of my life. She was one of a kind and I am thankful to have been a part of her life. I take comfort in knowing she is reunited with Solly who she loved with all her heart and with Delmar who loved her without prejudice and also with Raymond whom she's probably having a highball and a long awaited smoke together. May God rest her soul. Until we meet again.
