MORALES, Jesus
Our beloved Jesus Morales Jr. passed away at the age of 83 at 11:25p.m. on Christmas Eve, 25 minutes before the Lord's birthday. Jesus -AKA Jess - was born on May 15, 1929 and raised in East Los Angeles. He met his wife, Jacqueline, to whom he remained married for 63 years until his passing. Jess was a very hard-working carpet installer for 50 years, and was looked upon by his loved ones as the ultimate family man. He loved music and loved to watch sports. In his day, he was a fine basketball player and an incredible ping-pong player. The family started in East L.A., eventually landing in West Covina in 1969. Charming and ultra-witty, Jess will be greatly missed by all of us who adored him. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; brother Robert Morales; sister Sally Banuelos; sons David, Daniel and Robert; daughters Sandy Morales, Christina Avina, Lorraine Shorman, Theresa Payan and Diana Porras; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Jess Morales was my Uncle (my Mother's brother). What I will miss most about him was his sense of humor. He was bigger than life and always made me laugh. I can't believe he is gone. Sending my love and prayers to my Aunt and all my wonderful cousins. Caroline Banuelos

Dad: I miss you so much. But we will see each other again when it's my time to join you. Until then, I love you with all my heart, and I miss you more than I can say.
