I think of my friend and co worker everyday. I cry tears of sadness that we have loss such a great man too soon. We worked side by side for years. We saw one another through very hard times. He helped guide me in raising my son and my life decisions. I feel lost without knowing he is here with us but comforted knowing he's looking after me from above.

My Sincere Condolences to the entire family of Dr King. I just heard about his passing and was deeply saddened. He was an Amazing Doctor and always had the perfect, gentle words to say. I had the honor to meet Dr King in 2007. He was my beam of hope when I came into labor & delivery 7 weeks before my due date with my first baby. I had a pre-ruptured Amniotic sac so he hospitalized me for 2 weeks and oversaw me my entire stay until my son was born. Each day he made his rounds to come in and check on me and my status. He made me feel at ease and confident ALL would be ok with my baby. I THANK him and know my son is here today Healthy and Well and Thriving while under his professional care and his choice to induce my labor pre-maturely. He always spoke with love and joy about his wife and children. I also had the chance to see him for a few visits during my second pregnancy as well. He was just the Best OB/GYN around! He will be Truly missed and I will be forever Grateful to him and honored to have known him. He touched many lives no doubt. God Bless him and your family. May he rest in peace forever in His Glory. He will Always be remembered!

Kelly (Dr King) and I were classmates and friends at the Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Although we had not stayed in contact after we and our classmates went our separate ways to complete our respective residencies, I have fond memories of times together with Kelly and friends. It truly was one of the best times in my life.
Kelly was a pleasant, soft spoken, intelligent, and good humored/good natured human being.
My hope and prayer is that he had a redeeming relationship with our savior, Jesus, for then we will be once again together in heaven.

I am so sorry to hear this news. I had just referred a good friend, who just found out she's pregnant, to see Dr. King. She told me the news after she called Kaiser to make her first appointment. He was my OB/GYN for both of my sons and he delivered my second son.

Dr. King was so kind and talked about his family almost every time I saw him at the Kaiser Redlands clinic. I never felt rushed during any of my appointments and always knew he was really listening to my questions and concerns. When he delivered my second child it was the most calm delivery because of how easy going he is. He made my husband and I laugh between each of my contractions.

My deepest condolences to the King family. He will be missed.

Oh no. I am so saddened about this. I recently tried to make an appointment with Dr. King and was told that he was no longer with the clinic. I thought maybe if I searched for him online, I could find him elsewhere and make an appointment and I found this.

My heart is just broken. He was my gynecologist for many, many years. He was one of the kindest, most compassionate and knowledgeable doctors that I ever had the pleasure of knowing.

My condolences go out his parents, his wife and his children. He spoke so fondly of all of you at one time or another during the years when I was his patient. I am deeply saddened to learn of this tragic loss.

I am just shocked and saddened to hear this news. I just tried to make an appointment with him and the receptionist couldn't find him. I told her I would drive anywhere, even Hawaii, just find him. She couldn't so I googled him thinking I could find him in a non-Kaiser facility and that is when I found the obituary. He was an incredible person with true compassion and insight. My heart breaks for his family as I am sure that they are missing him so. To his parents, you raised an outstanding man, doctor and citizen. To his wife and children, your love flowed out of him and he mentioned you often during visits. How truly blessed you all have been to have had him in your personal lives. I feel blessed and I only had him on a short medical journey. Wonderful man.

My deepest condolences to the King family. Dr. King was my OB/GYN years ago and I was one of his patients that followed him, why? Because he was THAT doctor, it's hard to find the words that express my feelings and gratitude towards this man but all I can say is that he was a great man and doctor. I remember him yelling, "It's a girl and she has huge cheeks" when he delivered our daughter, we laughed so much and it's included every time we talk about our daughter's birth. He loved his family and always talked about his wife and kids, told me stories and always had a smile on his face. You will be missed.

I just found out right now when I went to schedule an appointment to see my beloved Dr. King whom I followed from Fontana and I would have followed him anywhere he went in Kaiser. I am so shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. He was the smartest, kindest, best doctor I ever had and I will miss him terribly. My heart goes out to his wife and his two children whom he loved so much and talked about constantly to me during my exams. Godspeed Dr. King. You will be truly missed. Francesca Harris

Merry Christmas.... May your soul be shining bright in Heaven.

December 30, 2013

Dr king was my doctor for my last pregnancy (2010)and one of the best doctors by far. After learning I was pregnant again a few days ago I knew when I called to make my appointment who I wanted for my doctor. Sadly the appt rep told me the sad news after my request. My heart definitely goes out to his family. This saddens my heart and soul. Every appointment was more then just a appointment, he didn't spend 2 minutes and then done he actually got to know my growing family and he told stories about his. Very very sad. Prayers.

I just heard of the passing of Dr. King. I am so very sorry for your loss. He was a gentle, caring, and compassionate doctor who set the bar high for the rest. He always took time for his patients, listened patiently and carefully explained procedures as if he had all the time in the world. He adored his precious little family, always spoke so proudly of his wife and children and the time he spent with them.

I prayed for this wonderful man with a gentle spirit who has touched so many lives, including mine. I pray to comfort his wife and beautiful children that their loving memories of the time they shared will soften their pain.

Dr. King, a bright light, a brilliant man, a decent human being, your life ended much too soon. You are dearly missed by all who knew you. Rest in peace.

It is so sad when the good ones leave us too early. It's clear that he meant a lot to a lot of people. I was sometimes a difficult patient-I would cry during my colposcopy biopsies. He was always patient and very gentle. He delievered my 2nd child six years ago. I followed him to the Redlands facility too. It was worth the drive. I will never find another doctor as good as he was. I only hope to be half as good as he was when I become a PA. I wish him and his family peace.

November 7, 2013

I just saw him a week or two before his passing. He has been my doctor for way over 10 years even before he went transfer to redlands. I would drive the extra hour because he was one of those rare doctors that listen, gave good advice and was professional. Very rare. He cared for his patients. I remember our last talk He was telling me how he had his shoulder surgery (same doctor that was going to do mine at the time) and what he said made a big difference. He Motivated me to do it before it got worse. I trusted him and he made me feel at peace. He was an inspiration to me and always remembered me when he saw me walk in the clinic and would greet me by first name whike they did vitals. I was scheduled to have that surgery on my arm shoulder (rotator cuff) sept 9 and on sept 7 was my birthday. I tried to make an appointment with him recently for the problem i saw him in august. (Its Gotten worse) and now I am lost right now because he was a specialist and I don't know where to go that knew that much about my history and what worked in past and didn't. I been a kaiser member for 27 years. The doctor before him retired.

My heart goes deeply out to his family big time but I know he is in a good place and not forgotten.

Dr.king knew me when I was over 350lbs and lost way over 185lbs to help me with my problem. I Still was not able to conceive but always gave me hope. He was always motivating me. He was and will always be an inspiration to me and never will I guve up or forget him.

God watch over his family and I know they never met me but I will pray for all of them and I know he is going to be remembered because he made a difference to me and others and I feel blessed to have known him.

Madeleine, I just learned about the passing of Kelly and my heart is breaking for you. I was so honored to be a bridesmaid in your wedding, and witness the love you both had for each other. I have done a very poor job at staying in touch with old friends, and I sincerely apologize for that. One year ago, my 2nd husband passed away from brain cancer. I only mention that because I want you to know that it will get easier, and joy will return to your life. I hope you find comfort from the amazing family you have, and the many friend's who love you. I am so, so sorry for your loss.

He was a great Dr. He was my Dr. through my pregnancy. He was so dedicated and caring to his patients. Took the time to get to know me and my husband. I looked forward to my appointments because I knew he was so dedicated and thorough. He would talk to me about his wife and kids and to see the love he had for them and his job. I was so blessed by him. I am so torn to hear the news. My condolences to the family. I pray for his family and friends. Thank you so much for all you did Dr. King. He will be greatly missed!

My heart is broken to hear this devastating news! It came as such a shock! Dr. King was the best doctor I've ever known. He took such an interest in his patients. From day one I was blessed to have him as my doctor! I had a few complications and he was always there to ease my mind. He delivered my baby 4 months ago via csection. And on my 6 week check up I was so sad I wasn't going to be seeing him as I had my baby, I joked with him that I wanted to schedule an appt with him soon so I wouldn't have to go long without seeing him. He was more than my doctor, he became a friend. I am praying for his family! I hope they're able to find peace. He talked about his family all the time! RIP Dr. King! You'll be missed!

I am so sadden by this tragedy! I've had a long bumpy road & Dr. King has been right there with me holding my hand every step of the way & never gave up on finding out what was going on with me. He was always trying to figure out a way to fix my issues and couldn't wait for the day I would call & tell him I was pregnant!!! Well that day didn't actually happen but I was anxious to share with him that we were adopting a child & that doesn't get to happen now either! He had an amazing bed side manner & beside the fact we shared a love for guns. He's an amazing doctor & will be missed dearly by all! My heart goes out to the King family! The doctor's to follow will have some pretty BIG shoes to fill. May all of you be blessed with the strength to get through this tragic event and carry his memories & legacy high in your hearts!

I can't believe that I'm never going to see your face again. No matter what the day was like, it was always better with you there. Kind, gentle, compassionate, genuine, easy-going, funny- You were loved by all. Awhile ago we were talking about little girls growing up. You told me you planned to buy your daughter something special. You said a daughter's first piece of real jewelry should come from her Daddy. I hope you had the chance to get it for her. Your family should know how much you talked about them, how much you loved them. I will keep them in my prayers. RIP my friend

I went to Med School with Kelly- 2 yrs ahead and then was pleasantly surprised when I moved into the office next to him at the Redland's office in 2008. I was impressed that instead of putting his name tag on the front of his door he put a picture of this beautiful little girl with big blue eyes his daughter Katelyn! So I copied him and put my daughter's picture up!
Anyhow, he was a very kind, polite man whom his patient's raved about. RIP Kelly and God be with your family. Adrianne Beck MD

Truly a Doctor that cared about his patients. I met Dr. Kelly King on September 2004. He was my OB Doctor and Surgeon. I can to you he was my super hero the night he delivered my son April 16,2005. It was an emergency c-section. You will be missed and may you rest in Gods Kingdom. Many Many Hugs to Mrs.King and the children.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends. Kelly as he was known to my husband was a wonderful easy going guy. My husband thought so highly of him after doing a remodel for his family that when it came time for me to pick my ob he suggested him. He saw me through two pregnancies and I will forever be grateful for him helping bring in two of my babies into this world. You will be missed by many.

To the kindest Doctor, who always had time for everyone, who sat at his patients bedside to talk to them, who truly cared what happened to them. We are sad and grief stricken to lose you. We pray for comfort and understanding for the family that you left behind, that somehow , someway you find solice in the knowledge that he was loved.

I am saddened to hear of Dr. King's passing. He was so good to me while I was a patient of his and helped me through a tough pregnancy. He was missed when he left Kaiser and this is really shocking and hard news to hear. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I have many, many happy memories of carefree, youthful times spent with Kelly, and will always remember him with a wry smile. Even after all these years I can clearly picture him tearing around Loma Linda in his brown and white Ford Bronco, usually with a "posse" of joyful passengers in tow and Del Taco wrappers blowing out the windows. Travel well, my friend.

Dr. King was the definition of a doctor. Kind, compassionate, understanding, and brilliant. He had a special way of lightening up the room and spent a great deal of time ensuring his patients were happy, healthy, and well taken care of. The world has lost not only an amazing doctor but truly an amazing man. My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.
