WUNDERLIN, Rudy
Rudy Wunderlin went to God on November 27, 2012 at the age of 89. He was born in 1923 near Basel, Switzerland. He and his brother Fredi were raised by their mother after his father died young.
Rudy came to the United States at age 23 and became a citizen. He met Mae Belle in California, and they were married for 62 years. In Rudy's career as a cotton broker, they traveled all over the world. They lived with their two children in Arcadia, Mexico, Dallas, and New Orleans. They retired to a home in Sierra Madre that reminded Rudy of his childhood home, with its views of the valley and hillside of fruit trees.
Rudy is survived by his wife Mae Belle, son Paul, daughter Linda, and grandchildren Natalie, Julia, and Matt. He was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus. Rudy will be forever remembered for his goodness, sense of humor, and love of mankind.
A Mass will be held on December 3rd at 10:00 AM at St. Rita's in Sierra Madre, followed by a graveside service at Rose Hills in Whittier and a reception in Arcadia.
