MEEK, GORDON L.  
Gordon L. Meek 1931 - 2015 Gordon Meek passed away on August 15, 2015 after a battle with heart disease. He was born on October 10, 1931 to Lewis and Thelma Meek in Los Angeles, California. One week after earning his degree from UCLA with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Production Management, he married his wife of 61 years, Marcie. Gordon also served for two years in the US Army in Anchorage, Alaska. A lifelong resident of Southern California, Gordon worked for two small companies for nine years and then for Avery Dennison where he served for 35 years until his retirement. His work included being Manager of the Manufacturing Systems and Reporting department as well as in Finances. He traveled over one million miles in the U.S., Canada, Europe, South Africa and South America. His pastimes included being an Eagle Scout, playing tennis, company golf tournaments and bowling leagues where he won many trophies. He was an avid fan of the UCLA Bruins and the L.A. Dodgers. He also liked to tell about his father practicing for minor league baseball on Catalina Island. He and his wife Marcie loved to travel throughout the U.S. and Hawaii and many countries throughout the world as well as on cruises. When not traveling, Gordon volunteered for the Special Olympics and the Mustard Seed Tutorial Center here in Redlands. He was also a longtime member of The First Baptist Church of Redlands where he served as a volunteer and sang in the church choir. In addition to his wife Marcie, he is survived by his daughter Karen (Kevin) Trawinski of Kingman, AZ, and his four grandchildren; Gilbert Ortiz, Amber Morse, Jenny Pennington and Paul Trawinski. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; Hailey, Devon, Noelle and Landon and niece Kathy Martinez. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Alice Griffith and Dannette Warren. A Memorial Service will be held at The First Baptist Church of Redlands on Saturday, August 29 at 1:00 P.M. Donations in memory of Gordon can be made to The First Baptist Church of Redlands, 51 W. MOORE, DOROTHY PEARL  
Dorothy Pearl Moore 97, passed away on August 7, 2015. She was born on January 22, 1918 in Missouri. She has resided in Redlands, CA for the past 69 years. She was a wonderful homemaker that loved caring for her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Lloyd Moore. She is survived by her children, Carolyn Wright (Ray), Robert Moore, and Johnny Moore (Carol). Siblings, Blanche English and Norma Jean Bokis and many nieces & nephews. She will be extremely missed by her family and her niece & best friend Lola Rhine. She also, leaves behind her 8 grandchildren & 15 great- grandchildren. The family will have a Memorial Service on September 5, 2015 at 10:00 am at Church on the Hill, 1445 Ford St., Redlands, CA 92373. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Church on the Hill.
