ACORDIO "PETE" SMITH
1936 - 2012

While small in stature, this "giant of a man" possessed both an incredible amount of commitment and unconditional love for his family and friends. Acordio Smith passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012. He was born August 23, 1936.

While being a great Father, he also volunteered as a basketball, baseball and football coach for the local parks and recreations center, mentored neighborhood children and always extended a helping hand to anyone in need.

Acordio gave over 38 years of Civil Service as a Civil Engineer for the State of California and was part of the team that helped build the 210 Freeway.

Acordio's memory will be indelibly planted in our hearts and minds. He will be greatly missed. He leaves to celebrate his memory: his mother, two brothers, two sisters, a daughter, two sons, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, countless cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends. Acordio will be missed, but his legacy of giving, compassion, and love will live in our hearts and minds forever.
