Ann Lindsay Kenyon
Born in Hollywood, passed February 27th in Long Beach. Mom is survived by daughter, Loree Greta (Chris) of Austin, TX; son, Lance Kenyon (Loree) of Long Beach; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Predeceased by husband, George, and son David. Daughter of Edna Weaver of Lancaster, PA and Jack Lindsay of Corpus Christy, TX. Ann grew up on the Peninsula and met George when she was 16. He was a lifeguard and she borrowed his football. They were together from that day, through the Navy in San Diego, back to Long Beach where they were entrepreneurs in Belmont Shore owning The Beach Burger and the Pink Pinata. Ann dedicated her life to family, friends, and to inner-city 2nd graders in Compton, where she taught for 30 years. Ann adored attending her grandchildren's events and watching football. She was well looked after her last years by Daisy Rivas, June Fletcher, many dear friends and her canine companion, Gypsy. Ann was a beautiful woman inside and out and enriched the lives of all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 23rd at 4:00 p.m. Los Altos Grace Brethren Church, 6565 Stearns St., LB. Please sign the guest book at www.presstelegram.com/obits.
