CONREY, Deacon Fred
Deacon Fred Conrey, passed away peacefully at home on March 4, 2013. Born on October 30, 1932, Fred worked for Unocal for 44 years, served for the Pasadena TOR "white suits" for 15 years, and after being ordained as a Deacon in the Catholic Church in 1990 he served at the Immaculate Conception Parish in Monrovia. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Maureen, his daughters, Kathleen and Teresa, and 5 grandchildren. Fred was an avid fisherman, and lived a life full of love and grace. A vigil service will be held at 7pm on Wednesday March 6 at St. Joseph's Chapel of Santa Teresita, 819 N. Buena Vista in Duarte. A funeral mass at 10am on Thursday will be held at Immaculate Conception Church. Contributions in his memory may be made to the City of Hope, 1055 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 1200, LA, CA 90017.
