Paula Johnson

PAULA ANN (DeSEIFE) JOHNSON

Born January 4, 1919 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Anna (Schmidt) and Hugo DeSeife passed peacefully on September 30, 2012, with family present.

After being graduated from Kenosha High School Paula worked at various jobs in Kenosha and Illinois. In the mid forties she moved to the La Crescenta area in California where she lived for the past sixty five years. She retired from Pacific Bell Telephone Company where she was a graphic artist in the display office of the "Yellow Pages".

Paula's hobbies included crocheting, sewing, painting, knitting, poetry and nature. She was a member of the pioneer club and did community service work after retirement.

Paula is survived by her nieces, Sharon Greidanus of Kenosha, and Diane Vogelsang of Tujunga. She had eight great nieces and nephews: Debra Mitka, Joy Greidanus, Donna Komarek, Robert Greidanus, Dan DeSeife, all of Kenosha , Chad Kraft of Tujunga, Doug DeSeife of Corona and Susan Brainard of Fairbanks, Alaska. She also leaves nineteen great- great nieces and nephews and many others friends and relatives. In addition to her husband, Donald J. Johnson, and her parents, Paula was preceded by her brother, Alfred Edward DeSeife Sir; sisters, Emily (DeSeife) Bowman, and Elfrieda (DeSeife) Carlson; and nephews, Alfred E, DeSeife Jr., Donald P. DeSeife, and David J. DeSeife.

Funeral arrangements are pending. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. Special thanks to those who have taken care of her during her long illness.
