Clarence Henry Fellhoelter Obituary
Clarence Henry Fellhoelter

Clarence Henry Fellhoelter of Palo Verde, California, passed away on November 2, 2012, in Los Angeles, with his devoted family by his side. Clarence was born on November 22, 1928 to Benedict and Christina Fellhoelter and was one of 7 children. During his childhood, he developed his strong work ethic and love of family, as he worked on the family farm in Angelus, Kansas. These two character traits would be ever present throughout his life and were passed on lovingly to his own children and grandchildren. Clarence enlisted in the Navy alongside his brother Barney, in 1951, at the age of 23. During this time, he was assigned to the USS Renville and traveled to the Pacific Islands, China and Japan. He was awarded numerous honors including a Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. Clarence moved to California, along with his friend Lucky and met his first wife, where they settled in the Norwalk with their 3 children. A plumber by trade, worked for the Le Mac Plumbing Company until his retirement 30 years later. Clarence married his wife Phyllis when the kids were young, and together they shared many happy memories as a family. Clarence was ever the devoted father, rushing home from work to attend baseball, soccer games, dirt bike races and activities such as camping, hunting, Friday night fish fry's and deep sea fishing, with his family and neighbors. After his retirement, Clarence moved to his favorite place, Palo Verde, California - where he would spend the remainder of his life. He was proud to be the President of the Palo Verde Rod and Gun Club and Grand Marshall of the town's Christmas parade. He loved playing cards and sharing stories around the fire-pit with friends. He was a generous, kind and thoughtful father, grandfather, friend and neighbor. His siblings survive him: Elizabeth, Marcella and G. Sally Christian. Sisters-in-law: Gloria, JoAnn and Judy. His wife Phyllis and son Glenn predeceased Clarence. He is survived by his children, Scott, Tammy, Gail, in-laws, Mara, Richard, Heidi, Rochelle and his grandchildren, Amber, Tyler, Kristy, Clayton, Jenna, Anthony, Dylan, Sydney and Sterling. At his request, no funeral services will be held. However, a "Celebration of Life" will be conducted at the Palo Verde Gun and Rod Club on December 1, 2012. Contact Scott Fellhoelter at 11163scott@gmail.com. A memorial fund is established to benefit the activities of the Palo Verde Rod & Gun Club, his close friend will administer it: Roscoe Bowen, 212 Wyatt Circle, Norco, CA 92860 (714) 334-7140. Clarence Fellhoelter was a courteous, gracious man with a strong sense of honor, he will be noticeably missed.
